We wished to inform that unfortunately the administration of interprise, which we have chosen for practical part of our work can accept us only after the November, 18th, therefore the first results of practical part we can publish only in 20th dates of November.

And we have a question. Can we can include in our model external factors with which we allocated in the previous post? Our problem consists that we can’t state to them an estimation, but we can suggest to administration estimate to them.

For appraisal ‘sustainability in logistics’ we work out the model, which consists of these factors:

Volume of transported production on a month

Park of vehicles;

Objects of transport system;

Objects of logistical system;

The staff, management and the control;

Breakdown susceptibility on transport (dependence on qualification and experience of the driver’s personnel).

In our model we have arranged factors in process of reduction of the importance of influence by steady development of the enterprise in logistics. In conformity with the importance we have awarded each factor the certain weight. Thus, the order of factors is presented in a following kind with weight corresponding them:

Volume of transported production on a month (30);

Park of vehicles (20):

Quantitative aspect (16);

Qualitative aspect (4);

·      Objects of logistical system (16);

·      The staff, management and the control (14);

·      Objects of transport system (10);

· Breakdown susceptibility on transport (10).

In our model the sum of score for factors is equal 100. Out team thinks, that the enterprise which has less than 70 scores isn’t “sustainability in logistics”.

In this post we give the description of the factors resulted in the previous post.

Internal factors of sustainability in logistics:

1. Volume of transported production. Big volume of transportations, in our opinion, positively influences to sustainability in logistics, because:

At first, terms of delivery decrease due to a lot of transported production and reduction of terms of expectation of full loading of transport

At second, at big volumes of transportations the opportunity of rational use of park of vehicles increases;

At third, rational use of transport park allows to supervise volumes of ecological pollution depending on volume of transported cargoes. The note: carrying capacity of transport above, than at motor transport, thus volume of ecological pollution at transport below.

2.Park of vehicles. It’s possible to allocate quantitative and qualitative aspects:

Quantitative aspect: the park of vehicles shares on involved (hired), and own. For definition of quantity own vehicles the mid-annual need for them pays off. The quantity of own transport should not exceed 50 % from the general mid-annual need for vehicles;

Qualitative aspect: vehicles share on import and domestic. Means of import manufacture are more reliable, more comfortable for work of the driver’s personnel, more economic at the charge of fuel accordingly pollute an environment less, but demand more expenses and complex in service. In Russia the network of maintenance service of cars of import manufacture is badly developed.

3. Objects of transport system (garages, the parking, etc.):

Presence of own servicing deports improve the control over maintenance of transport park in an efficient condition.

Presence of own lay items reduces costs by rent.

4. · Objects of logistical system. Presence of own warehouse,

At first, reduces the cost price of responsible storage and warehouse processing of cargoes;

At second, increases competitiveness of the enterprise by granting to clients of wider spectrum of services of transport-warehouse logistics.

5. The staff, management and the control. The highly skilled staff carry out the most qualitative control over transported production, administrative decisions on minimization of costs on transportation of production make.

6. Breakdown susceptibility on transport (dependence on qualification and experience of the driver’s personnel).

For an estimation of stability in logistics we allocate two groups of factors: external and internal. To internal we carry:
·      Volume of transported production a month;
·      Park of vehicles;
·      Objects of transport system;
·      Objects of logistical system;
·      The staff, management and the control;
·      Breakdown susceptibility on transport;
· Dependence on qualification and experience of the driver’s personnel.

To external we carry:
·      The Geographical factor;
·      The Climatic factor;
·      Natural-ecological factor;
·      Sociopolitical factor;
·      The standard of living, presence and quality of federal transport highways, the external transport policy of the country;
· Strategy of development of transport-logistical system of the country.

In our work for an estimation of the enterprise we will use only internal factors because external don’t depend on the enterprise and they can’t be changed.

There are many of definitions of the term “logistics”. Here some of them:

S .O. Migiro and I. M. Ambe in the book«Strategic Logistics Management» gives definition: «logistics management is the process of strategically managing acquisition, movement and storage of materials (inventory) through the organization and its marketing channel in such a way that profitability is maximized through cost effective fulfillment of orders»;

In definition of N.B.Lobanov, «logistic – is a science about planning, management and the control over movement material, information and financial resources in various systems »;

In B. A. Anikin’s opinion « the logistic -  is a science about planning, the organizations, management and the control of movement of material and information streams over space and over time from their primary source up to the end user »;

The book «Logistics Management and Strategy» gives the following definition: «logistics is a concept to reorganize the logistics chain in a different, more integrated way to lower the total costs (interest of inventories, material handling, and transportation) and to increase the service levels»;

G. Pavellek approved, that « the logistic – is a planning, management and the control acting on the enterprise, a processable there and leaving stream of material production processable there this enterprise and an information stream corresponding it ».

From data the Internet of a resource we take definition “stability“. Stability – is an ability of system to keep a current condition at presence of external influences;

In modern conditions, the western experts allocate some kinds of logistics:

The Logistics connected with maintenance of manufacture by materials (purchasing logistics);

Industrial logistics;

Marketing (marketing, or distributive, logistics);

Allocate as well transport logistics which, in effect, is a component of each of three kinds of logistics.

In a logistical circuit, i.e. a circuit on which pass commodity and information streams from the supplier up to the consumer, following main parts are allocated:

Purchase and delivery of materials, raw material and semifinished items;

Storage of production and raw material; manufacture of the goods;

Distribution, including sending of the goods from a warehouse of finished goods;

Consumption of finished goods.

Proceeding from the resulted definitions of the terms “logistic” and “stability”, from existing kinds of logistics we receive definition of « sustainability in logistics ».

Sustainability in logistics – is an opportunity of preservation of the optimum plan, the correct control and management behind movement of material subjects, substances and other.
